About Us

         My name is Jared Greenlee. I am a 2nd generation IBEW Journeyman Lineman from Northern Arkansas and the Owner of Journeyman Gear tools. I started my career working in the underground electric distribution world 20 years ago, moving into the Overhead Lineman Apprenticeship as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Throughout my career in the field, I constantly came up with new ideas that I believed would make the job easier, and most importantly safer. 

       Journeyman Gear was a long-time ambition of mine that didn't really come to life until the end of 2021. While I had a laundry list of great ideas for new products that would be valuable on every jobsite, I just didn't know where to start or what it would look like. I had no experience securing patents or how to kick off the manufacturing process, the solution I found was just to perfect one tool at a time.

  We kicked it off with the CornerPocket, which has been our best seller to date. Since then we have released over 20 new products that are available from nearly every major utility distributor on the continent, with customers from all over the world. I'm honored to be a part of this industry and we will never stop bringing new tools to life at Journeyman Gear, Where safety and innovation are forged together one tool at a time!
